I would think something like a Ld test when charged could give the defender the choice of a 'stand and shoot' (extra missile attack on charging unit) or 'brace for impact' (stow the bow and unsling the shield for an improved Sv). *several of these units (certainly Bugman's Dwarf Rangers, the Bowmen of Oreon, Harboth's Orc Archers, as far as I know none of the others) were equipped with bows, hand weapons and shields, and could choose which to use. Ruglud's Armoured Orcs - Orcs and Goblinsĭisciples of the Red Redemption - Warriors of ChaosĪvenging Knights of the Cleansing Flame - Empire Empire Knightly OrdersĪfter we get to IIIrd Ed, my knowledge fails. IInd Ed, part 2 (later additions from White Dwarf etc):Įeza Ugezod's Black Orc Mother Crushers - Orcs & Goblins Also, Karnak's Lizard Raiders were equipped with bows, which they can't be under current Lizardman rules. They could however be thought of as Orcs or Goblins they are also one of the few units that would actually count as 'mercenaries', along with Golgfag's Ogres, for example, and could thus potentially be found serving in an Empire army. Note that the profile for Half-Orcs was most similar to Hobgoblins in IInd Ed, so I have listed them as if they are Hobgoblins. Notlob's Orcish Bolt-throwers - Orcs & Goblinsįlying Gargoyles of Barda - Daemons of Chaos Throgg's Hobgoblin Despoilers of the Dark Lands - Orcs & Goblins Hobgoblins Chaos Dwarfs Dwarfs of Chaosīogdan Legbreak's Goblin Chariots - Orcs and Goblins Mudat's Mercenary Half-Orc Maniacs - Orcs & Goblins Hobgoblins Chaos Dwarfs Dwarfs of Chaos RoR - IInd Ed, part 1 (up to publication of First Citadel Journal) Mengel Manhide's Company of Manflayers - Dark Elves Golgfag's Regiment of Mercenary Ogres - Ogre Kingdoms Mad Mullah Ackland's Death Commandos - Araby Knights of Orrigo - Empire Bretonnia Empire Knightly Orders Harboth's Black Mountain Boys - Orcs & Goblins though that's not a Regiment I'm listing. So the format will be something like:īearmen of Beorso - Warriors of Chaos Norse Tribes of Norsca If there is an official army book that makes sense (not all of them will have official army books, some races or armies don't exist any more) I'll put it in bold, then list suggested unofficial Army Books from here in italic.

I'll also put suggested Army Books to which the entries relate. Subsequent to my last post I thought I'd do the list.
